3/4 cup sugar

1 large egg

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour


Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  • Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
  • Mix in the baking soda and salt.
  • Add sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract, and mix well.
  • Finally, fold in the flour until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  • Bake for about 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let it cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For a less sweet banana bread, reduce the sugar to 1/2 cup. Serve warm or at room temperature.
