Ingredients
Scale
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter (cold and cubed)
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup ice water
1 cup light corn syrup
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
4 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups pecan halves
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

- Stir in the sugar and gradually add ice water, mixing until the dough forms a ball. Roll out the dough and fit it into a 9-inch pie dish.
- In another bowl, mix the corn syrup, brown sugar, cocoa powder, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.
- Stir in the pecans and chocolate chips, then pour the filling into the prepared pie crust.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the filling is set. Let it cool before slicing.
Notes
For a unique flavor, substitute corn syrup with maple syrup. To make it dairy-free, use coconut oil or vegan butter.
